Finally riding again.

Finally riding again.
Recently divorced. Back in the seat.
Loving it. Again.
2009 Sportster 1200XL C
Have an issue with it I'm trying to figure out.
You can hear the idle air control pulsing when the key is off.
Have to keep it plugged to a trickle charger overnight.
If I use a test light on the plug for the IAC, all 4 terminals are hot, even with the key off.
Anyone have any ideas?

Welcome back! If you haven't found it yet, call into the Sportster section, where you can meet up with other Sporty members and get advice.
If you remove the main fuse, the noise should stop. Replace it then I suggest you remove the other fuses one at a time, to see if you can identify the circuit that has a problem. If the problem persists after removing the first fuse, replace it, then take out the next one, etc.

Did you remove the main fuse, or one of the others? Removing the main fuse cuts power to everything on the bike, so we can expect the IAC to stop working. As you might realise, it isn't easy diagnosing things over the internet! If you have a local indy he should be able to analyse and rectify this pdq. If you want to tackle it yourself, then call in on the Sportster section, where there are far more Sporty members.
