Just got the latest HD advert in the mail, and at the end is a picture showing the SE tuner.
Didnt they Just pay a multi million dollar fine and 'buy back' all those units? Or is this something new / different than that one.
The one advertised is the Pro Street Tuner, not a Pro Super Tuner, it's basically a worthless piece of epa compliant crap. Probably not much better than a dealer download.

and it seems very similar to the old super tuner, changes to fuel, timing etc and the ability to smart tune. But there must be some limitations for it to remain epa compliant, where as the old one is 'for off-road use only'
I believe you can not change the afr in the idle and cruise area of the map and I believe it restricts the amount you can change the VE tables. You where right the first time.
If you download the SE pro street tuner software, you can see exactly what the device is capable of. The AFR tables on the maps are set and cannot be adjusted.

+/- 4% VE adjustment in the cruise/low load areas, +/- 10% in the hi load areas. Just enough adjustability they can stay compliant with SE legal parts, and maintain all applicable warranty for 2017 and newer models.
Basically a tweakable download.
