Default 14 Wide Glide extended crank floods engine

Have a factory stock 2014 Wide Glide (19 miles on it, out of factory warranty) that has extended cranking and soaks the plugs when trying to start. When it starts running, it usually stalls but runs a little better when warmed up.

It has no codes, battery load tests ok, the grounds all seem ok...the tank, fenders and battery cover were removed for paint. I am thinking that something must have been disconnected/pinched when this was done but I have not found anything yet.

Has anyone seen anything like this on the newer bikes? Seems like the can bus limits what you can do with troubleshooting.

19 total miles on a '14? If so, probably has bad gas. Drain tank and lines, replace with new fuel. See if that helps.

You're not holding the throttle open a bit while attempting to start it are you?

You need a proper map or tune.

A newer "stock" bike should not have fueling issues due to incorrect factory mapping.
That said, if you take your bike to the shop they can call the warranty folks and will, more than likely, extend your warranty (good faith) the few days you're out.

This bike had tins off for paint, wondering if anything could have been disturbed during R&R. I agree that tune should not be an issue on a bone stock scoot.

Ok, so the tank was off at some point as was the cover of the tank. The gasket was folded over on one corner. When you energize the fuel pump, fuel sprays out from the back of the filter housing opposite of the fuel pressure regulator.
