Default WTK: Best Way to Seal Fuel Tank Top Plate Screws?

I am in the process of replacing the fuel pump in my 01 Night Train. The dealer says the 10 sealing screws (part # 1311D) have a sealant applied. At $1.95 a piece, spending $20 to replace perfectly good screws makes no sense.

What else would work to add a film of sealant to these screws, something that would tolerate fuel.

You can try using the screws over again. Prolly seal just fine. If not, spend the money.

FLTRI17, have you reused the screws before?
