efi external fuel pump
I want to put a king tank on my night train. The problem I am running into is the fuel pump so i was thinking of getting a external pump. Does anyone know the lpm of the stock pump or just knows what external pump to get. I searched but no one ever gives follow up answers as to what needs to be done. I called harley to find out info on the stock pump but they only have part numbers and not specs on the pump. My other option is to pay 1500 bucks for the roland sands kit but that is way to much cash for me to dish out. Thanks for the help.

The fuel system diagram provides a simplified view on how fuel flows within an EFI system. The fuel tank supplies gasoline to the fuel pump. The fuel pump can be located in the fuel tank or external to the tank. The fuel pump provides a high pressure feed to the fuel rail that contains the fuel injectors. On the fuel rail there is a pressure regulator that limits the fuel pressure to 39-45 PSI and maintains a constant pressure. The pressure regulator has a vacuum line that connects it to the intake manifold. Any excess fuel leaves the pressure regulator and is returned to the fuel tank.
With that info in place these are the fuel pumps I found

Hopefully someone has done this or know more info about this before I go out and spend money on something that may not work.

Most of the EFI installs I have done were on cars the never had EFI on them from the factory. I was starting from scratch. I use the fairly pricy EFI rated rubber hose and I tend to use the marine rated stainless hose clamps.
How are you going to do a fuel pressure regulator and the fuel return line back to tank?
Here is the Real Hemi Cuda I did a wile back before everything was buttoned up.
