Yeah, Jamie at Fuel Moto, who I bought the cam from, told me not to wste my money on head work until I go to a 107.
The head tech at a local dealer, who I was told works with and trains race teams, told me a 107 wasn't a good idea because of heat and that thinning out the block that much leaves it as a potential catastrophe. I haven't looked at the block specs to see if what he said has any merit at all, and I'm not going to 107 until the winter.

The head tech needs to put the crack pipe down, the bore on a 107 is just as reliable as the 103. There are way too many of them pounding the street with no issues, he must lead a sheltered life. Heat isn't any more of an issue as it would be at 103, the 120 in my 06 Ultra isn't really any hotter than the 103 in my trike.

I used to do business with a dealer who had techs that kept telling me I shouldn't believe what I read on the Internet. The longer I hung around the more I noticed they were nothing more than parts changers.

I have a 2008 CVO RK 110 engine with DBW. I have the dreaded idle to WOT delay and looking to see what others have done with the TTS to fix the delay when snapping the throttle from idle to WOT. Thanks... Rich

Adjust your Acell Enrichment until you get a snappy throttle. You may have to increase or decrease the table. Start with 5% decrease then 10%. If there is no change then go the other way.

Don't max out your Throttle Blade Control unless you want to wear out your TCA. Leave it to Original.

If that doesn't help then flash a canned calibration in to see if it is the calibration. If it isn't, good luck. Rumor has it that the throttle body TCA's are going bad and Harley has a new design being released in a few weeks... this is only a rumor.

Open your air cleaner... blip the throttle and see if your butterfly opens up, shutters back down then opens up in a split second. That's your bog. How to fix it is anyone's guess.

Where in Westchester are you and what dealer are you dealing with? Empire seems a little better since changing over from NewRoc. NewRoc was full of retards that didnt know **** from shinole about ****. I stay away from dealerships all together. You want the best work/advice in the area you need to talk to Tommy Nelson. He wont steer you wrong. Pricey, and maybe a little slow, but worth every cent and second. Who does your tuning for you? I run the Mastertune too but do all my own tuning.

Since I changed my cams I need to go out and collect data. I loaded Vista SP2 on my Macbook Pro and installed and updated the software with all the latest updates. Obviously I set my laptop to never go to sleep or turn off the hard drive, but I have a question- do you guys lock your computer when riding for data so no keys get pressed? logically the laptop is continues running applications when you lock the computer ( like when you walk away from it and don't want anybody looking at your stuff), but every program has it's quirks and I don't want to waste any runs for data.
So, yes to "lock computer" when taking your laptop for a ride?

I don't lock my laptop. And have had no problems. Just close lid and throw it in the backpack.

Yeah I guess I'll do that, I just always forget to change it back and drain the battery. Time to start leaving myself note- I'm sorry what were we talking about?
Thanks.

Not being a mechanic but was the wear on this lifter caused from it skipping on the cam or dragging?

I replaced cams at about 5200miles and had to replace one of the stock lifters because it wasn't pumping up and holding pressure. After looking at your picture I went to the garage and snapped these ones of the lifter I replaced. Similar pattern. I've got 16,000 miles on it now and 4 Gaterman 1023 lifters sitting in my toolbox. Guess I should think about putting them in soon.
