Thanks. Hopefully other pipe arrives soon so I can get vtuning before it gets to cold , otherwise I will have a spring project vtuning , or get dyno tune done and vtune from there. Don't think best to vtune much if at all with the leak present.

Crap..

I try to make sure everyone gets answered but some times one or two will slip through the cracks.

Answer to this is... you don't need to buy that cable, you can get the same cable at any HD dealership. Before you buy a 6 pin cable make sure your adapter plug on your bike is 6 pin. Don't take for granted that just because you have a 14 and up bike that it is CAN Bus 6 pin.

Warm idle issues can be a lean condition in the few idle VE cells in your calibration.

Try this test.

Locate your idle VE cells for both cylinders
Raise them by 10%
Locate your Lambda or AFR idle cells
Take them out of closed loop so they do not change via adaptive learning.
Save this test calibration and flash
My issue is with warmup idle. My warm idle is fine. Do you know what I can do for that problem?

Went with 3. Really steep afterward. 2 seems to early. Wish there was a 358 cal for 2-1 with cams. Little leary vtuning w/o timing adjustments for cams. Could one be better off recording generic data looking for knock, adjust timing, then vtune or better off other way around. still wish I could use timing from a different 358 cal but the one for a 2-1 seems good so far. Now after cam install I notice idle drops to 800-850 when hot starting for aa few seconds then picks up to around 1000 and stays. Assume need to change idle timing slightly?

After riding around block few times my idle is not the best. throttle response was poor on takeoff. I added some ve in idle and dropped ae some. Little better but not what it was. I am loading the current tune and the one before the ve and ae changes.
Thanks for any advice.

Reduce your AE by 10%, test. Reduce your AE by 10% again, test. See if your throttle response gets better.

After pulling 10% it improved well. Pulled 5% more and it is better yet. Also dropped warmup enrich 5% as it was way too rich. I expect that idle with decent lift cams will be tad rumbly which is fine. Ran some can data for an hour yesterday and most I could see was just a few 2-3 events where 1deg was knock retarded. Adp knock set to zero. From what I gather from data I am safe to ride as I got into it a few times with no knock retard at those times. Believe I can gain some spark advance from the data I viewed. Now with cams added I hope vt3 hits before too long as egr may be a bigger factor now.

Funny how you need less AE with a larger cam, huh?

Indeed. Thanks for your time wiz. I am sure getting timing figured out after some v tuning I will need some more advice.
