Default Flight Recorder issue

I'm having an issue with the Flight Recorder function on my VCI. Set-up a Vtune enabled cal and flashed the bike, then went to flight recorder and set-up a vtune option flight recording, unplugged the VCI from the laptop and went riding like a little old lady thinking I was recording run data. Bike ran really crappy with the A/F set to 14.6 and adaptive knock control switched off ( PE set to 10,000 RPM). Get back and plug VCI into laptop, open Datamaster, select load tuning file from interface and.... no flight recorder files, just the cal I loaded into the bike before starting the Vtune process is viewable in Mastertune 2.

Flight Recorder function says: Status 1401

anyone know what that means? Am I having a hardware issue (aside from my brain)? Everything is updated to current software release

Thanks, all. Got it figured out. Was a brainfart on my part. Must disconnect VCI from the bike before setting up FR. Had just flashed the VTune enabled cal into the ECM, left the VCI connected to bike to set-up FR function. It didn't like that.

Happy Mothers Day to all you ******* out there.

Hope everyone will enjoy the day and spend some time with the family.

To everyone with well wishes, Thank you. We are struggling here some days. Am looking for a easy day today. I see every post but may not have the time to answer right now guys.

Many of you have learned that tuning is only as good as the effort you put in to it which also includes helping others so you affirm your own tuning beliefs and practices. I believe we have a great bunch of guys here that are willing to help the new guys and assist more complicated issues as well. Keep up the good work.

Ciao

Thank you for posting this. When I saw your message I immediately updated my TTS software, downloaded and flashed the MT9 version of the MT8 canned map I was running for my 103 stage 2. Bike runs MUCH better......HUGE difference. I figured the bike would run the same but only have enhanced tuning capability with the MT9. It runs much stronger and seems much happier now......Thanks
