Thanks for the help. I didn't do any research on the 259e cams. Not sure he did much research on the cams either. I was looking at a set of s&s cams for him, but he was sold these by the dealer.

 

Most dealers are you worst enemy, I've seen more screwed up builds and parts combinations come out of dealers.

 

Hooked my laptop up to my bike and couldn't connect to the bike.
I uninstalled and updated the HD06 driver from Mastertune but that couldn't help, and while surfing to get a new FTDI driver from the link on the Mastertune web site, the driver loaded and recognized the cable and it appeared in the device manager. But then I moved the USB to serial cable a couple inches out of the way and the device disappeared from the device manager; hence a break somewhere in the cable.
So, nobody carries cables for anything other than a cell phone, an Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc., or an HDMI cable anymore, so Amazon or Newegg is my fastest source for a replacement. Best Buy, Office Max/Depot, Staples, etc. has squat. Anybody have to replace this cable? What brand works as a replacement?

 

Isn't it just a standard USB printer cable?

Belkin USB to Serial adapter works well but don't get a cheap cable. Buy cheap, buy it twice.

 

The screw downs to secure the connection are both female and block the male to female connection- neither one has the screws.

 

I had my bike tuned and the cruse will not come on now
it is a 2013 ultra
is there some ware in the TTS to reset it
the light come on when I turn the switch on and the light stays red it will not go green or come on when I try but on when driving

pull your front brake lever and make sure the brake light comes on
push the rear brake lever and make sure the brake light comes on

 

yes the brake light comes on with hand and foot brake
