Hi Wiz
I have had a bit of experience with TTS
Did affair bit of vtuning over a period of time with a modified build and had a pretty good end result
have put some new cams in and started the process again
Did all the updates before I started
Can't find the EGR option in VTune3 ?
Where has it gone ?

Use the advanced feature of VTune 3. You will see the graph but remember to select apply the changes or it won't change your calibration.

Using basic is allowing the software to do all that for you.

Read the TTS/D to get an idea how to start and the basics for tuning.

Use the new TTS manuals to get the details.

THe TTS/D is for VTune 2. I have not updated it to VTune 3.

you my friend need to put the old stuff away (and the bottle).

As Doc pointed out, that manual he wrote is outdated and should not be used except for reference. The TTS for Dummies by Wiz is updated and with the exception of VTune3, is spot on. Use it, stop thinking too much about what you're doing because you're only going to confuse yourself.

Read the TTSfD manual, get your IVO set, set your calibration up, flash it to the bike, put the dongle in flight recorder mode, go ride the bike for about 30 minutes like you normally would ride it trying to hit all rpms/gear ranges. Come back, pull that recording off the dongle, bring it into Vtune/DataMaster, see what changed, accept the changes if you like them . I suggest you like/accept them unless you really know what you're doing. This will make your next tune file for you. flash that back to the bike, put it in FR mode again, go ride again for another 30 minutes or so, come back do the same steps.

I normally tell people to do this 3 or 4 times accepting the changes and going again, then once the bike feels good, put the dongle in FR mode once more and this time just leave it there and ride the bike for 3 or 4 days as you normally do going to work, going to the bar, going to mistresses house, in traffic, out on open road, pass a few 18 wheelers, do a couple of Mario Andretti runs (to the point you are comfortable) getting in the higher rpms, higher speeds, etc. All this will be recorded. Then come back dump that in vtune/datamaster, create your next flash file, then at this point throw up your few calibrations you've flashed and let us look at them and critique for you.

This stuff is not difficult and reading a lot of the BS and irrelevant info on these forums will do nothing more than confuse you.

Rules are
1. be safe
2. record good data in all riding ranges you're comfortable in
3. gather that recorded data, manipulate it, then flash the new file back to the bike

rinse and repeat until you're done.

Don't overthink this sir, this is really easy even for the novice.

I would add one more point to Nutz analogy
When you get to the final tune, After you reload all defualts and activate the Knock retard tables
Make a few runs and look to see if you have any Knock.
You cant always hear it.
You also probably cant feel it.
So look for knock before you button it all up.
What to do when you have knock, Thats a whole nother topic in its self.
I like to filter out the data in Datamaster to only view knock on both front and rear cyl.
This is a fast and easy way to check . you really want to see a flat line with no spikes

Hi Wiz
I use the standard option for FR (advanced is for green TTS ?)
I pick advanced option for VTune 3 and then closed loop
I get duty cycle displayed and then go to 5 tables ( 3 for spark and two for VE)
used to get EGR option here somewhere but now its gone ?

The EGR table is the first table after the injector duty graph. You must click accept then you go on to the VE tables

I have no idea why yours is not showing the EGR. May want to call TTS?? idk

When using the blue tongle
Loading the Flight recorder files into VTune3 as standard will not automatically show the EGR or the VE table changes
You must load then in V tune as Advanced
Then the Tables pop up.
You then have to aply the EGR table to make it active in the tune that you will save
Hope that helps
