Default SE spark plugs and wires?

Will changing my stock spark plug wires and plugs to screaming eagle wires(like the color) and plugs have any effect on my ECM's ion discharge sensor? Don't have any performance mods done to my 06 EFI TC. The SE wires are for looks and the SE plugs are for possibly better spark. I was told after market wires could have an adverse affect but would SE be a problem ....I figure not. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Some or all of that is a myth. I'd get the HD wires in the color you want.
Save your money on the plugs. Standard Autolites work for me. The best tuner I know
on this and other forums recommends them.

The SE wires and any plugs but stock HD plugs may cause issues because of the ion sensing for the EFI. I tried autolites in my 06 and it shut down the rear cyl and threw codes. Keep the stock wires & plugs IMO. Get colored boots & covers for them.

+1, The ion sensing system can get goofy if it doesn't like the plugs or wires. I chased my tail for a while last year when my front cyl was pulling 13 deg timing out as knock retard all because it wasn't happy with my plug wire. Put a new set of plug wires on and stock plugs and the problem went away.

The service writer at my local HD dealership dose not suggest the SE wires. They have removed multiple sets for stock ones. He sited a test report that the SE wires do not preform as well as stock wires.

leave everything stock, you wont gain any performance at all on your bike. and the ion sense feature is really picky, had a guy hang a bell on his plug wire and it made the bike throw codes. no reason to mess with it, in some cases stock is better, and yours is one of those cases.
