As old age sets in, on my '09 Ultra, I worry about forgetting to raise the jiffy stand. So I ordered and installed a jiffy stand interlock switch, like what comes on the police and international models. However, it doesn't work. It is supposed to kill the engine if put in gear with the jiffy stand down. Has anyone done this on their bike? I'm wondering if some ECM programming needs to take place, or maybe it just isn't compatible on North American models. Any advice will be appreciated.

I have the same problem with my Road King 08. How did you solve the problem??? It's USA model which I have imported to Europe.

 

Check the wire color on the jiffy stand switch. If it has a green and violet that means it communicates on the bus. Sorry don't have a manual in front of me but if thats the case with the interlock, if you can get the ECM to take a different vin flash that should do it
