I be will riding and the bike shuts down. The lights never shut off but sounds like no fuel or spark to the engine. When I pull in the clutch and switch the ignition off and back on it fires back up. Had this problem a while back but woul not stay running for any length of time. the lean sensor, crank sensor were replaced and it was found that the connection in the wiring harness to the lean was seperating when hot and connecting when cool. this time it all happened after a 5 mile ride cut out twice and made it home. Hope someone can help. 00 fxst carburated

My Lady Blue, also a FXSTD 00, carburated, had the same problem a week ago, after not running for 20 days. The solution was to clean the carb.

Hey i had the same problem, it turned out to be a bad bank sensor , it would shut down when i was riding ,if i just hit the starter button i wouldn't get any spark ,but if i turned the ignition off and tried starting it , and run for a while before shuting down

 

done same bout a month ago. Only once, died 3 times like running out of gas, started right back up each time though.. Other suggested that since it turned cold might have gotten moisture in gas at station... ran some lucas gas treatment or others use Heet, haven't had it again..
