Replaced Battery - Bike Won't Start
This is the 2nd time that I've replaced the battery on my 07 FXSTC (with HD Security System) and it won't start. The front and rear lights flash so I suspect that I need to perform some routine to reset the system? The previous battery was the 2nd HD battery that I've had on this bike, but this time I replaced it myself with a DieHard instead of going through HD. I've kept the charger on it from time to time, the bike is stored in the garage so I don't understand why I keep losing batteries. Appreciate the assist to get her started and any feedback on the battery deal.

When you say won't start, do you mean it cranks but never fires, or won't crank at all?
When you put the new battery in, did you charge it at all first? Did you try to start the bike immediatly, or wait a few days?
I think the fact that you are on your 3rd battery with an '07 bike is the most troubling, you could have a bad part in the electrical system draining the battery. I am still on my stock, original battery with my '06

sounds kind of like you key fob is out of sync with the bike, maybe you didnt even need a battery. if you can get the bike to a dealer syncing the fob is very quick and easy for them to do with digital tech. if they are a good dealership they should do this for free just to keep a happy customer. just a guess, hard to tell for sure without more info on what the bike was doing with the old batt.

I know you said your bike does not have a security system, but if the lights are flashing I would tend to think you do have the security system as that is what it does when it is armed and you try to start the bike. I could most definitely be wrong, but you might wnat to look into it. Security system armed and bike won't start the lights will flash.
