Default Blown fuse for lights

I added the brake light kit (Harley kit) that makes the turn signals in the rear brake lights also. Everything was good for a day then the fuse blew. It states in the instructions that it will pull an additional 4 amps with this kit, but it doesn't say to install a higher amp fuse. Has anyone done this and increased the fuse amperage by 5 amps? I don't want to toast the circuit. Any thoughts?

Also had blown P&A fuse. What is P&A????

What is the amperage of the fuse and what is the total draw on the curcuit? If total draw on the circuit is below fuse rating, look for a short somewhere where you were recently working.

I haven't checked for draw yet, just blew the fuse on the way to work today. As for a short, module simply plugs into harness under seat, no wiring needed. I pulled the seat to make sure nothing was pinched, everything was ok.

I'd check to see what the draw is. I don't think it would be a good idea to stick in a higher amp fuse because the fuse size used is based on the guage of wire on the circuit. If you up the fuse by 5 amps, you might end up setting fire to wires before the fuse blows if you ever get a short.
