efi race tune kit
I have a 07 road king i am putting in cams and been talking about tuning to some people but i could not remember what i had done. not long after i bought the bike new i had 32107-01G efi race tuner kit installed at $459.95 and 2 hours labor for tune. my question is, is this a tuner, a box, that stays on the bike or was there something that i should have got like a play n play. i looked on the bike but didn't see any thing that says race tuner. also what do i need to do to tune with the kit where is it located on the bike. any help appreciated thanks Joe

there is nothing that stays on the bike .it should be a small black box that lets you tune from . when it is hooked to your bike. and then removed and stored in a safe place .

It is a 2007 vintage SERT. You should have something like the interface box shown in the photos below plus a CD with software. Sometimes they came with cables, usually the cables were extra cost. Some dealers hung onto the interface box until the bike's warrantee expired. Look around for info on the SERT. You can reprogram your ECU with it but you need to know your way around an EFI bike. Most dyno shops can tune with the SERT, but they need your original box or you'll have to buy another.

A few months back I was visiting a dealership for work bids in my profession. While there I noticed a large box about 18" tall x 24" wide x 18" deep. It contained SERT and SEST tuners.
I asked the a service writer what it was for. His answer was and I quote...
"These were left by the customer after their dyno tune and there's no way of knowing to whom they belong. This is the latest batch we found to go with the other boxes of them in storage."
I looked in the box and sure enough, no name, no VIN number, no identifying marks what so ever on the box or the module. Think about that for a minute.
I don't want to wish bad tidings on anyone 06getsome but I do want to wish you the very best of luck at your dealership. Your SEST is going to be tough to find if you didn't bring it home.
