Default Se 254 Cams

Does anyone have a race tuner map for a 08 touring model, 96 cu in, open element air cleaner, 2 into 1 with fullsac muffler, and SE 254 cams, or any suggestion on a map to start with. Thanks

Work with the model of the bike first then the cam.

Here are the specs on the 254's

Lift @ Valve – Intake/Exhaust 535"/.536"
Duration @.053 – Intake/Exhaust 224˚/234˚
Timing @.053 Lift – Open/Close Intake: 1˚ BTDC/43˚ ABDC
Timing @.053 Lift – Open/Close Exhaust: 50˚ BBDC/4˚ ATDC
TDC Lift @ Valve – Intake/Exhaust 0.094"/.102"

Now you look at what cam is available for the SEST, if you have one but you called it a race tuner so it could be a TTS.

Check out what the other cam specs are for the intake opening and closing and get one that comes as close as possible. You can change the cubic inches and injector size to match your motor.

The closest I can find is the 255 cams.

SE-255: lift 0.550"/0.550",
I 211°/E 235°
Intake: 6° BTDC/25° ABDC,
Exhaust: 48° BBDC/7° ATDC

Thanks for the reply Mr. Wizard. Sorry I did not reply sooner, but did not get a notice that I had any response. I tried to update my Super Tuner software, in hopes there would be baps with the 254 cam. Nothing available yet. I have Super Tuner version 3.004.0004. A friend (dyno tuner) gave me a map for a 2010 110 with 254 cams. I had a map for the bike described below:

08 touring model,
96 cu in,
open element air cleaner,
2 into 1 with fullsac muffler
SE CVO 255 cams

I am not sure if it would work if I pasted the spark advance tables from the 254 map into the map for the 255 cam.

Any thoughts. Thanks

Moving timing tables from one calibration to another isn't really helping you any as you will be changing them anyway when tweaking your timing tables. For the most part, a different cam calibration map has unchangeable software designed for those cams and how they effect fuel injector and spark timing.

If your bud is a tuner then I would take his map, change to your cubic inches and Smart tune so you can adjust your VE tables to his calibration map. Make sure your injector size is correct for your bike as well.

Default 254 cams

I did search a little further, and found a map for 254 cams, but it is for a 2009 with:
Application: 2009 Touring
Configuration: 1690 Stage 4 with SE 254E cams
Components:
- SE Air Cleaner or Heavy Breather
- SE Big Bore Cylinders P/N 16546-99
- SE 3.875" 10.5:1 Forged Pistons P/N 22137-08B
- SE Pro 110+ Cylinder Heads P/N 17071-08A
-SE 254E Cam P/N 25503-10.
- 2 into 1 Exhaust w O2 Sensors
- ACR is ON

I am afraid this is going to be way to rich. I know how to change the ci to 96, and run the smart tune to change the VE. Is this all I will have to change. Right now it is running with the tune for the bike with the 255 cams, but just sounds and feels wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I would not run the above map, I think you will find that it's too much for your motor. Do you have the copy of your buds 254 map? If so, make the changes to that one and you should be fine. If not, you could tweak the 255 map to your motor.
