Default Bypassing the factory security system

I have a 07 FXD and on the second set of batteries for the key FOBs and since I am tired of carrying around the FOB s so is there a way to bypass the security system so I wont have to deal with it,I dont want to eliminate it since if I would sell it the next buyer could reactivate it if needed. Since it was optional one would think there is a way to bypass it without too much problems

I thought I saw something in my owners manual about disabling the system. Not sure, I don't have my manual nearby at the moment. Check yours

I will check my manual and thinking about finding a wiring manual and see what is there.

I don't think it will be easy to just bypass it. At least on my 2009, the TSSM sees the FOB and then sends the "OK" over the serial bus to the ECM to activate the starter, coil and injectors. That is why the TSSM must be learn/linked itself (password learn) to the ECM. That makes it harder for a thief to bring his own TSSM to start your bike because the password will not match. To me you would have to "clone" the serial data to the ECM.

It may be different on a 2007 so let us know if you succeed.

I wish I would have bought it new and not ordered the security system,I like things simple and have insurance in case of theft.

You could always remove the tssm and swap out with a tsm. They are pretty cheap on ebay, or even a dealer should have them laying around. Its about a 5 minute job to swap and there is a procedure on marrying it to the bike on these forums somewhere. You may be able to get a couple hundred for your system
