Default Auxiliary Brake Light/Turn Signal Kit

This plug in unit is supposed to add running lights and auxiliary Brake lights to late model HD's. I've plugged it in and it works like a charm when the brake lights are applied, but there is no running light function. As this is a simple plug in unit, anyone have any suggestions? I've checked all of the TL wiring, everything is snug, no shorts, no bare wires, w/o the unit the signals work normally, just no running light function. It's not a big deal, I may swap this out for the Kuryakyn unit, but was just wondering if anyone else has this problem.

Are you sure you don't have the older model?? The first generation only worked as brakes and turns.

I use the Biketronics Tailbones. It is a run/turn/brake module that is made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty. Biketronics also makes a kickass load equalizer called the Smart Equalizer that is perfect for adding LED signals or other LED lighting.

Oh and the pic on the Biketronics site is a little deceiving. The Tailbones is only one module not two like the picture would imply. They are just showing that it does the functions of two of their other modules.

Thanks 'Mile. I hadn't thought of that, I'll have to check the part # when I get back home tonight. I see that the HD website has an 06 suffix on the brake/running light part, I may have gotten an older part. Thanks for the suggestion.

I actually prefer the earlier model, since the aux turn/brake aren't lit up all the time and confuse the vehicle behind you.

[sm=exactly.gif] That's one reason I won't buy the kit. I'm going with Hilites.

I think the HD kit works great, I also have the bottom tri-light rigged so it comes on as a brake light!

Thanks for all of the replies. As it turns out, my Tail Lamp/Brake Light module is an older model, even though I got it earlier this year. The part # I bought is 91698-02 and it is only a T/L brake light conversion, it does nothing for running lights. The newer module, Part 69462-06 is the running/brake light module I thought I had.

Thanks to another forum member, I've been offered an even swap for the modules as he wanted an old style one for his new WG.

Once again, the Forum members come through, not only with the right solution, but a new part to boot!
