Hey everyone, I have a question a friend of mine has an 07 Fatboy that has started missing and backfiring thru the TB will not hardly idle but will clear some with higher rpms. Have changed plugs, checked comp,and checked cranksensor it was clean. Front cyl plug was wet rear was dry. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Check:

1. plugs...use factory only
2. plug wires
3. coils
4. fuel injector connection wires
5. CPK (crank position sensor)
6. air filter
7. Also is it throwing any codes.
8. Could be ECM
9. dirty fuel injector ( try some techron in the gas)

If the front cyl is misfiring there should be codes. It should be P1353

BTW..any mods on the bike?

 

Thanks KBFXDLI, I have checked 1-6 on your list haven't checked for codes don't know how to pull them. The bike is stock no mods.
