Scanalyzer or Digital Technician?
Scanalyzer or Digital Technician?
Where can I buy one, and which should I choose?
I have a need to be able to fix things myself, apart from fried electronics I would say that I could handle most.
However I do come up shorthanded on my 2003 FLHTCUI (TC88 – EFI w. TSSM), it seems that no mater what I do, I can’t really get anything done with out going into the ignition and/or fuel injection.
So what is most flexible and easy to use, and where can I buy one?
Thanks,
Ole

RE: Scanalyzer or Digital Technician?
This company sells a diagnostic tool for the efi harleys and certain carb models - http://www.daytona-sensors.com/Twin_Scan2.html It gives you up to an hours worth of data on the ecm sensors or you can monitor the ecm in "real time". The web site wil explain it much better than I can. I've had one of the older twinscan 88 models for 3 years now and I find it handy with trouble codes, both showing them and removing them from the ecm. You can also use it for 1/4 mile times and speed.

Hi Ole
let us know how it works out. I have a SERT, partly for the same reason as you...to be able to get in there and sort things myself...or try at least...
I nearly said to get in and get my hands dirty but unfortunately they didnt.
I have seen the Twin Scan and am really liking the idea of it for some time after christmas if funds allow. With the sert they would make for serious possibilities. i think. need to dig more on twin scan.
Likewise if you need any info on Sert (i know that may be a late offer as you already ordered the Twin scan)...but you might end up wanting both.!! Not that i know enough on it to be anything near an expert. The manual is posted here in the diy section which explanins what it can do, or i can send u pics from a sert data run, and you would see the type of data it records etc. (well i could in a week or 2 as i lost all the previous ones on a laptop crash)

Hi,
Thanks to all of you, I looked it up and orderd the Twin Scan II
If it works as portrayed, it's just what I need.
Thanks!
Ole
