Harley sx 125 problem
Hi
I wonder if anyone can help,I have a 1973 Harley sx 125 that I've just started to restore,I've got all the lights to work indicators, horn, high beam low beam and i nice blue spark coming from the new spark plug,I also have a new clean tank of petrol and i new coil,I've also taken the carb to bits and all jets cleaned and everything blowen out atleast 5 times with a compressed air line,The problem is it only fires up for a couple of seconds every now and then...i could kick it over all day long and it would only fire maybe twice then nothin,I've checked everything on it and it seams ok looks like petrol is getting to the spark plug...but i have noticed one thing that doesn't seam right to me ...i could be wrong but the coil gets very hot,Is this a short on the bike somwhere or is it normal for the coil to get hot that way?.....has anyone else had this problem with starting ,any help would a appreciated.
