I have a '10 FLHTK open exhaust /fatshots and ness A/C. I download tuner software, updated then went out to the bike hooked it up it went thru and started to update vci and windows locked up and shut down during update and now I can't talk to vci(the new -08C). The red light comes on and just stays on. Update feature in software has fence over it and no ecm data is in vci. I talked to dealer but they said it will be 2 weeks to get it in and only they can get support. Does anyone have any ideas? I reloaded software, it sees the usb connection, and disabled firewalls/antivirus to check if interfering.

 

If VCI was being updated and computer crashed while it was updating the EEPROM in the VCI then it would need to go back to the factory to be fixed.

 

Thats what I was afraid of. You would think there would be some command sting you enter to restart the update. Have to wait till service appt. then.
