Default which ignitions are best?

I have a 99 heritage springer (evo) and last year my mechanic replaced a broken elec ign with a V-Factor adjustable from Mid-America I believe. I had problems almost imediately but they were random and didnt happen at the right time (at the shop) I want to replace it myself as I do much of my own work but am not sure which direction to go. I've been told dynas are the best/most dependable but which one is right for me? My scoot is built a little but not super radical, I have a good crane coil (3 wires makes it a single fire right?). Any thoughts???

+1 on the Ultima Single Fire. Its a Dyna 2ki system rebranded (their coils are total chit though - cheap chineese imports)
