I had to disconnect my fuel line from the tank yesterday and when i put it back together it was leaking bad...so i call the dealer and ask if they have a internal o-ring that fits inside the connector to seal the connection with the hose part that clicks in ....they say yeah $.12 so i drive 20 minutes over there and he hands me a big *** o-ring... i say it's not this one it's the tiny one that fits inside the quick connect...they say. you can't get that. you have to buy the whole fuel line and take the pump off and replace the line for $58.00....all that for a o-ring....
I tried to find a oring or the size of it but the Parts Counter Mgr says good luck....
He says that is why he keeps the inned line/coupler in stock.

Anybody run into this...did you find a 0-ring that works.

 

Mine is not leaking very bad yet, but I am going to have to get one soon. I was told by a local indy that it jsut needed an o-ring at the petcock to stop the leak. Just haven't looked for one yet.

 

There is actually 2 o-rings in that connector a thin black one at the top and a thicker one down further and HD don't list part numbers.........

However I have fixed a few and used the 11105 for the top thin o-ring and 11387A for the thicker one that is down further and they work a treat.

Easier to do with the tank of the bike and upside down but can be done with it on but takes a lot of patience of which I have none LOL

 

A 'heads up' for anyone about to disconnect the fuel line on injected bikes.

"Pull the fuse for the pump, crank the bike over to relieve system pressure before removing fuel line, failure to do so will result in potential damage to o-ring which may lead to a fuel leak".

The one i am talking about is the same size as the 11105 (used for oil changes) but a lot thicker...is that the 11387A? i know there is one that is about 1" that seals the line assembly to the tank...that isn't what you're talking about tight?

 

UPDATE....found a O-ring that fits...Advance auto parts.. #64492.1 10mm x 14mm x 2mm...$1.02 works like a charm...

 

Do you know if that'll fit a sportster I'm having the same problem
