Hey everyone. I usually dont post anything just read the threads, and if I need info I just search for it. Well I have searched but cant find an answer for my question. I picked up an older tach at a swapmeet, p/n 67564-05, that I want to put in my Dead Center fairing on my 2003 Road King Police. I just have the standard service manual, not the extra one for the police models. My manual shows that the pink wire is the tach signal wire. Is this the same for the Police model? Thanks for any help with this.

 

The tach signal wire also connects to the ignition coil, see if one of the wires on the coil is pink. If it is, your good to go by using the pink wire.

 

yes it should be the same pink wire located in the plug on the back of the speedo. Black103rgc is also correct on the coil. The wire on the coil should either be pink or blue.
In addition in slot #3 on the ECM plug is a pink signal wire as well.

 

Correct on wire location. If not being used, there should be a plug in it.
