I got the 41000008B Street tuner as a Christmas gift, but I do not think it works with my bike, a 2012 48. The catalog states that "For use with ’07-’12 EFI DynaŽ, SoftailŽ and Touring models (except Trike)." However, the box in my hand shows that it works with XL's too.

I loaded the CD with and downloaded the latest software updates to set it up to try a Smart Tune. Sure enough, Stage I calibrations are not provided for XL's and I cannot do a Smart Tune without first having a canned map for the HD Stage I upgrades. Now I have a unused Street Tuner and the internet dealer does not take returns. I guess I could try to contact the MoCo to get an explanation as to why the catalog conflicts with the box or why the Super Tuner gets the Stage I maps for XL's, but I'm thinking it is easier to just sell it on eBay.

Just telling my story here to perhaps save another XL owner from my situation.
