Default Super Tuner question

Last year I had my bike dynoed with Vance and Hines shor shots. I recently bought and installed Thunderheaders.

I realize the bike needs the ECM updated, but do I need to dyno the bike for a couple hundred buck OR can I just take the Super Tuner into the dealer? My understanding is that the Tuner should have all the info saved and the exhuast system can be editted.

to get a proper final map to run with your setup it is suggested to have it tuned. The thing I'd be concerned with is the fact that the V&H SS pipes are non restrictive and the thunderheaders have a little bit of restriction (for backpressure).

With that said, I feel that as long as you're not experiencing any issues such as decel pop, then I would leave it as is.

I had the same concern. I took it down the street and back and it felt very restricted, but there was no pop.

I'm moving back to San Diego in a couple days so I'll just have to wait a little bit.

There is no substitute for a proper tune. Many folks are "satisfied" with canned maps but the bike has more to offer with a proper map and the bike will run more efficiently as a result. Don't take the shortcut, make the effort.

If you have the software you can Smart Tune it yourself.
