HI, I'm building a custom harley and need some help with figuring out how to hook up the coil I'm using a standard 80ci 1340 off of an early 90's harley and i have wired the bike up using the ultima wiring harness. the problem I'm having is that I have two wires coming off my timing unit on the engine one is blue one is white and one white wire coming off the ultima harness for power my understanding is on the engine one wire is front and one is rear understandable but ultima harness has a power wire for the coil coming off of it now the coil that i have for the engine only has two post on it Is there a way to hook up these three wires to the coil and it work properly or do i have to buy a three post coil I'm figuring that i would just run the power wire to one of the post along with the respective cylinder wire but dont know which one? any help would be useful this is the last thing i have to get the bike running

 

Ok assuming you have an Ultama ignition module wire it as follows for dual fire single coil.
You need to have 12 volts from your run switch to one lug of the coil, the white wire from the ignition module attaches to the same lug and the pink wire from the ignition attaches to the other coil lug. Set switch 6 to on. Blue wire not used, green wire is your feed to your tachometer and violet is for the VOES if you have one.
