Headlight and turn signal issues.

Headlight and turn signal issues.
I have an '86 Sportster that I got up and running a number of months back. I'm not sure what happened since then, but the lights have all starting behaving very strangely. I'll do my best to explain it.
The front and rear turn signals stay on and solid.
The left and right turn signal, when engaged, causes no flashing. Left signal on causes left turn lights to get brighter.
When both signals are engaged, all lights including brake light flash like emergency flashers.
Headlight doesn't come on at all (probably a dead bulb.)
Also, the red and blue dash lights stay on permanently.
I know it would be near impossible to diagnose this through a forum, but what about would it cost me to have this diagnosed at a local bike shop?
Thanks in advance!

Alright, I've replaced my right turn signal switch as it was not a match to the original. That helped a lot. Now the only problem is that when each switch is engaged, the signals remain solid, but when both are engaged, they act as emergency flashers. Admittedly, my headlight is burnt out. Could that prohibit the turn signals from blinking properly?
