Default Curiosity must be satisfied

so I noticed the other day that my rear O2 sensor was not hooked up nor could I find the other end of it….Well today I found it under the battery with a vynl cap over it. When I finally got the cap off I saw that the dealer that installed my pipes sealed a resistor in the plug bypassing the O2 sensor. So I checked the spark plugs and the rear was grey and the front was tan
My question is have you guys seen people do this before? Is it supposed to work? seems lame to me, I am thinking about tossing it and hooking my O2 sensor back up

If your o2 sensors are not connect you may have a fuel management system hooked in, like a power commander or such. Just be sure before connecting anything back up.
