On my Evo, which I can idle down to 500 if I want, I notice the oil light will come on at hot idle at 750. At 900-950 it sounds like above, the oil light stays off and the battery stays charged (I do have a LED headlight). I also have an oil pressure gauge on that bike and at hot idle it looks pretty low, just a few psi, even at 900-1000 rpm.

I keep it at about 950 or so and all seems to be fine. I don't have a tach on my Twin Cam so don't know what it's idle is at this point.

Unless changed, your TC will be idling around 1000 rpm
