Power Commander III USB

Power Commander III USB
I installed some old school screamin eagle slip on's that say "for off road use only" They apparently breathe fairly well because you can see right through them and they make a hell of a sputter and backfire on deceleration.
I bought the PCIII tuner and can't find an appropriate map to download. I haven't done any other mods yet so basically all of the combo maps available don't match my setup.
My question is, should I pick the closest map to my setup or should I use the buttons on the unit to manually richen it up a bit? Anyone here have experience with using the button settings?
Thanks.

Ditto on close map. I spent a good bit of time with the Powercommander tech on phone about an unrelated issue. I learned from them that the maps were similar enough if similar hardware is used. If going long to short or 2 into 2 to 2 into 1 they get very different. Take a minute to look at more than one map close to your setup and I suggest using the least aggressive change of the two. If you are not happy then use the other. If that is too good...average them yourself.
A trip to a great to awesome dyno guy is money well spent when you can do it comfortably. I am always amazed that most hardly blink in sinking $1200-1500 into stage one and passing up a dyno session because it is expensive at $150-300 and it will net you more performance all around then the first 3 items combined and run right...cooler, better mannered and stronger...what is not to like?
