Default help with 2012 wide glide tune

I have a 2012 wide glide with the 103. It has rinehart churchill exhaust and screaming eagle filter setup. The guy I bought it from had the stage one download done but it still pops on decel. Runs great though
What tuner should I buy to get this thing right.

Thanks for your help.

are you going to tune it yourself? If so there are varying options for you. If you want very simple and never jack with it, then I'd look at one of the fuel management devices with PowerCommander being the most popular.

If you want more control over your tuning process, then look into the SE, TTS, and PV devices. They will allow you to do a LOT more. Each has it's learning curve.

My suggestion is read about each type of device, then each individual device, ask questions about each one, then make your decision.

Is the power commander going to be plug and play? What about the fuel moto device they have looks kind of like the Arlene Ness big shot or the fuel pay from Vance and hines? I would like simple and not gonna mess with it yes. Just want to get rid of the popping. I am happy with the performance.

redrott, before you add anything sir I would suggest checking to make sure you have no exhaust leaks anywhere at the heads and all connection points. If you have a leak, a tuning device isn't going to help you.

redrott to answer your question, order it from FuelMoto and tell them what you have for a build and they will put a map on it for you then it's plug and play.

FuelMoto also has their own device based off the Power Commander and is cheaper

Best to just call Brian or Jamie and talk to them about it.

Is there a reason you suspect an exhaust leak. I haven't thought anything about that. I had read where the download doesn't work that we'll and assumed that was the problem

I don't suspect it, simply that it causes more people more headaches with decel pop because they wind up chasing their tails with a tune file for days only to find a loose muffler clamp, worn/loose exhaust port gasket or bolts. What I'm saying is people by nature want to over-analyze things. Always start with the basics before wandering off to the in-depth stuff because if you don't, its likely to result in a lot of wasted time.

Ok. I will check just to be sure but I really feel the generic download is not rich enough for those pipes. That's one reason I like carbs better lol.

I had decel popping. It wasn't the tuner it was a couple of crappy clamps on the exhaust pipes. If you can see daylight when looking into your pipes you must close it up and seal it off better. If not oxygen gets pulled into the pipes and helps to ignite gasses and you get a pop on decel.
