Default 08 Nightster fuel tank removal

I need to remove my fuel tank to replace the gaskets on my forward rocker box. I plan on running it low on fuel before I do this. My question is, do I need to remove all the fuel from the tank, or is there a spring check valve at the quick disconnect where the fuel line connects to the tank? I expect a little fuel to drain out of the fuel line, I just need to know how big of a container to catch it in.

Dont need to drain. Just disconnect and you are good. Like you said, a little will leak on disconnect but that is it.
