Error P1351 and P1352
Hi there folks,
I have a "little" problem.
My 2010 Nightster has only one cylinder that starts, the rear one.
The front cylinder won't start.
I have these two error codes :
P1351 Front Ignition Coil Driver Open/Low
P1352 Front Ignition Coil Driver High/Shorted
So I've change the sparks plugs, nothing.
I've tried a friend's coil on my bike, still doesn't start. My coil works perfectly on my friend's bike.
I've tried the front wire on the rear cylinder, the rear wire on the front cylinder, and the front cylinder still doesn't start.
I've tried with another battery that works perfectly on the other bike, still the same.
Do you guys have any idea of what the problem could be ?
Thanks for you help.
PEACE !

I know this is an old post, but that code about drove me out of my mind. Tested everything from coil, ECM wires, plugs, wires, battery, stator, voltage regulator, you name it, I tested or replaced. I finally took it to the shop. After 9 business days, and every mechanic inspecting bike, they claimed it was a bad ECM. I kinda think this is a diagnosis you're given, when they've run out of options. I will say, two weeks later, both cylinders firing, and bike running great. Fingers still crossed though.

the key word is: DRIVER
the driver is what controls the operation and it is part of the ecu.
now that said, is there anything else??
well the ecu uses a parallel circuit that uses voltage drop to determine the operating parameters of the main circuit. so for grins and giggles, suppose the wiring/connections have issues, can this fool the ecu, yep, so rule out the simple things first.
now the driver can have intermittent issues as well.
