If you haven't changed the fuel filter in 33k, that's the first place I would look, along with what was said above.
Then I would check the battery cables (including grounds) and the condition of your fuse and relay connections.

Default more info

thanks for the replies so fast the plugs and plug wires are almost new but I will check for good spark first then go from there I just took it on another very short ride it starts and idles very good but under acceleration its still running very rough the bike had 25000 on it when I bought it has only had one other owner so I don't know if the filter has been changed or not is there a way to check the fuel pump before I take the tank canopy off or should I just expect to change everything in there while I have it apart

Another common problem that will give you these symptoms is a hole in the fuel line inside the tank. If you don't have a fuel pressure guage for HD's with the tank less than half full open remove the fuel cap, put your ear by the tank and cycle the ignition on, if you hear fuel spraying you have a leak inside the tank. Which is not allowing enough fuel into the injectors.

Yep, this. My 02 Fatboy did the exact same thing a couple months ago. It was the gas line in the tank. While in there you might as well change the filter and the check valve. No problems since.

Default Sticky???

Just thinking that this problem with holes in the fuel line is a pretty common problem. Maybe there should be a sticky about this. JMO
