Default fuelpak fp3 experience

Installed some pipes and fp3 today, flashed my bike with the appropriate tune. Started bike everything seemed good. Changed the idle at 80 degrees by a couple rpms. Started it ran like crap, shut the bike off to change it back and the fp3 will not flash my bike, tried flashing the stock tune to no avail. Called customer service and all I got was "wow that's a weird one, I'll have to call the supervisor that is in Sturgis and I'll call you back." 4 hours pass with no call so I call customer service back and they are closed. I've tried everything I know. As of right now the bike runs on the rear cylinder. Sometimes when I try to flash the vance and hines tune a code about the jiffy stand appears until I try to flash the stock tune, once I try it the code goes away. BTW my bike has 1100 miles on it, never had a code thrown before.......

Maybe pull the battery cables for about 30 minutes and then put them back on. Try to flash again?

Glad you posted though, been thinking seriously about buying that one myself.

I had to call customer service today, but I talked to two different guys that really helped and seemed sincere, long story short we tried everything we could. They sent emailed me an overnight shipping label for ups. Once they get my stock tune out of the fp3 they are sending a brand new one. Hope it works, and nothing on my bike is fried.......

Well it gets better, Saturday when the tech told me to send my fp3 in, the deal was they pay for over night to them and back. So Monday ships to them, Tuesday they fix it, Wednesday I get it back, well I get home today(Wednesday) no fp3! Surprise, call customer service after about a 15 min wait I get a representative and tell him the deal puts me on hold for another 10 mins. Come to find out they shipped it back ups ground and I won't get it till Monday. Seriously? Keep in mind my bike is down, by the time it's done I will have lost 9 days of riding. That's if it even works when I get it.

I put a FP3 on my 2014 SG and one on my wife's 2014 street Bob. Both worked great, very happy with results. Hope your problem gets resolved.

@brianp25

We apologize for the inconvenience. We have been in touch with you regarding the issue with your bike and appreciate your patience. The FP3 was not flashing your bike because of a safety measure that was built into the device. Basically, there was an error within Slot 0 of your map and the FP3 will not flash the bike if it sees an error. We have since reset the FP3 and error and have your FP3 and ECM returning to you within the next couple of days.

As stated above, I sent my ecm to Vance and hines. They fixed it, sent it back and I installed it today. Bike runs great!! I'm impressed with the personnel there, they stuck with it till the problem was resolved and never gave me the feeling it was my fault or that I was going to be on my own. I appreciate that and I'm a fan for life. With that being said I have not hooked the fp3 up yet..

So you said you got it back and installed it, then you said you hadn't hooked it up yet? Say what?

What I said was I got the ecm back and installed it, the ecm.
I did however put the fp3 on today and done some auto tune Runs, and everything is great. I'm happy with my purchase and like I said I'm impressed with the way the guys @ Vance and Hines helped me out.
