Ok, here's the deal. I have a 2010 FLHP with a 103", oil cooler, V&H big shot duals and a Vo2 air filter. No mods to the engine. I've kept up with the oil changes and have swapped the battery once.

The bike has decided to start, idle for a few minutes ok. When I twist the throttle, it begins to die a bit, then completely craps out. When I try to restart it, the starter does its business, but no joy happens. If I wait a while, I can restart the bike, but it only lasts for another minute or so if I'm lucky, then craps out again.

I've replaced the fuel pump, thinking that would be the issue. I installed a new HFP fuel pump today, same behavior still.

strange, possibly related behavior: Turn signal dash indicators work intermittently at best. Problems began a week or so prior to the fuel issue.

The little breather hose from the top cover of the transmission got cut/torn off somehow, but I can't imagine that it would have anything to do with this.


Anyone have any ideas?
