Default In memory of Mary Whitfield

At panama city beach at the 2011 spring thunder beach rally I lost my first wife to a drunk driver. We were sitting at a red light when a drunk ran us down and tried to get away. I survived but my late wife Mary Whitfield did not. I found our old bike on craigslist last week on craigslist after 4 years of wondering what happened to it. Now it's time to rebuild our old bike in her memory. This build will be for Mary Brigham Whitfield who left this earth way to soon at the age of 28.

Default thank you all for your kind words.

I'm really feeling like having a memorial/benefit ride for her. I don't know if it's a worthy cause to raise funds for the bike but I would also like to donate money to mothers against drunk drivers and to the humane society. I think that would make her proud.

Default update on the bike

Well I'm at a loss for words our local body shop Conners in Dothan A.L is donating the frame work and custom paint for the build. So now im on the hunt for replacement and custom parts. Just starting researching custom bags and fenders. I've decided to run a 21 inch wheel up front, 4 to 6 inch stretched bags/fender and try my best to keep it looking somewhat like it looked before. My friends are also setting up a poker run but all the money will be donated to charities, just doesn't feel right using any of the money towards the bike. Thanks everyone for the kind words and I'll keep you updated with pictures of the bikes progress.

So sorry to hear of your loss and you're doing a wonderful if not for your wife but for you. As you can see it also gives other people the opportunity to show their humanity. Peace bro and best wishes for you.
