1973 Ironhead Sportster
I own a 2006 Dyna Street Bob but thought I'd share pics of the 1973 Ironhead Sporty I built from the ground up a few years back. I sold it due to tough times and wish I still had it but had alot of fun building it and learned a ton about the older models in the meantime. I originally paid $1000 for the bike in rough shape then I took it all the way down to the frame and had it powdercoated GM summerset orange and had the all new tins painted to match. the only original parts I kept were the frame, engine and forks. everything else was brand new and mostly chrome. I had the fork legs turned on a lathe to get rid of the reflector blocks then had them chromed along with the rocker boxes. I added a short bobbed rear fender with a sidemount taillight/license plate. I used a drag specialties 2" stretch tank with a lePera seat. I had the engine professionally rebuilt. I added way to much to list but if anyone wants has any questions just ask. hope you enjoy the pics.
here are a couple of pics I have on my computer. I have a box full of pictures from start to finish but they are in storage right now.
