Don't know about Indiana, but it doesn't cost much to ship a frame. Kansas Kustom does alot of Ironhead hardtails. Give them a call. Oh yea, you can remove the swingarm, etc before shipping too save a little.

I did all the set up on mine and just took it to a local welding shop and they burned it in for 75 bucks

I've got an 81 ironhead and was told that with the longer frame a weld-on would make the bike look shorter so was thinking Paucho frame instead.

Not sure about weld on for a 81 I have a 78 and it made it longer and lower. It does give it a good look on a budget.

Have you tried Fabricator Kevin? He's been known to hardtail a few bikes.

no sir, no one said weld on can not be done, we all agree that BOLT ON CAN NOT BE DONE, i know a shop that will make me one ( bolt on ) but it will look weird as hell because of the frame.

a weld on is available but i dont WANT TO CUT UP THE FRAME ON A BEAUTIFUL BIKE.

They told me that a bolt on hardtail would look very much like a stock bike without shocks.
