Default Ethanol fuel in a classic

From what i understand ethanol fuel is harder on a classic. I've seen debates on here about it, but none of them mention anything about older bikes.

Should I be putting additives in every time I fill up, and whats best one?

I "have heard" that the high octane gases do not contain any ethanol. I use 91, the highest generally available around here, and i do not even think about it.

I have not had any of the problems people talk about. I think that ethanol affecting rubber parts [needle tip, bowl gasket] are what is talked about most.

I don't think there are any effects that will actually harm the engine.

ck your state codes. in missouri there's a law that the gas station doesn't have to have a sticker saying that the pump contains "E" but the 93 octain doesn't.
wonder if other states do the same?

The guy that owned the bike before used the lucus ethanol treatment. There are a few places around that sell 91 with E0. I will just make special trips and keep some treatment around just in case. The Marvel Mystery Oil, isnt that good to run every so often even if im not running ethanol fuel?

I've been running mostly straight gas in mine since late last year. I found a station near my house that sells ethanol-free gas in all 3 grades, and the premium is 93 octane. I'll swear that my bike runs better - a little more power and better throttle response.
