I posted a thread about 2 weeks a go and had this problem,i changed my electronic ignition modual and this fixed the problem. I had a dynatek DS6-1 DYNA S HD 70 & later dual fire, i used this for 2000 km one year.
My question is ,is this a good unit or are there better ones.I am thinking of going back to the points system,which i can clean and ajust.I know i will have to change the coil if i do this change.Any info is welcome and thanks to you all for the info i recieve.

 

what we used fo many years before electronic ignition become the norm was the dyna magnetic pickup unit that uses the advancer in the cover and a 5 Ohm coil < has to be 5 Ohms or they burn out quickly < put it in and its done but no control like you want today with the gas we have

ultma ign is what i use in my shop it is adjustable for different compressions and can be used with a Voes and duel fire or single fire 3 Ohm coils < ultma coils are garbage throw it away with the box it comes in -- jz
