You know, I wasn't sure what year it was myself? So we took the vin number off the bike and looked it up online. The last number ends with a zero and according to the info we found it says it's a 1970 XLH. A buddy of mine is helping me restore it. I just pursued some risers and original bars off of eBay and put them on today. The wiring harness is a complete rat's nest, so I am trying to find another to replace it. The bike was given to my dad about ten years ago in return for some work he did on the other guy's airplane. Which is why he doesn't really know a lot about the bike himself. I about fell over when I saw it hiding in the back of his hangar!

I finally started working on the bike. Removed the engine and about to strip her down to the frame. I removed the primary cover and noticed some cracks in the holes that the fastners go into. There is a ton of silicon build up. Someone mentioned I should run a dry clutch. However, I also have been told I can't run a dry clutch on a 1970. Any idea why that would be? Time to get her welded up.
