Default Ironhead Torque Spec's, Where to find?

I just bought a 1962 Iron head and the first thing I bought was the '59-'69 Service Manual, but the manual does not have any torque specs. I'm so used to manuals having torque specs like in my '06 FXST manual. I'm going to be doing a top end rebuild this winter. Does anybody know where I can find motor torque specs? Or back in the "old days" did folks just wing it? But then, I had a '65 650 BSA back in the early '70s and the service manual had some torque specs.
Thanks,
Jack

if you look again you will find that it has a bolt and nut chart and the chart has the torques for the many different fastners that could be used on the machine by the type of hardness and size and it includes the torque value for each -- its not done like that any more you would have to be versed in the different fastners and what they are used for - that info was taught back in the day in auto class not any more -- so to answer your question every bolt has top strikes, and that has a torque value that you can use -

You have to be careful with those charts. They are usually for steel bolts going into steel. If you use that torque with a steel bolt going into aluminum it will strip the aluminum threads.

The later manuals 99484-78, 99484-85] have torque specs, some in spec pages at the beginning of chapters and some within various sections. Not all in one place. The aftermarket manuals [Haynes, Clymer] tend to be better with this info.

I use a torque wrench for cylinder head bolts [65 ft lbs], cylinder base nuts [30 ft lbs], axle nuts [50 ft lbs], the rear brake pivot bolt [30 ft lbs], transmission mainshaft nut [35 ft lbs], and a couple of big nuts in the primary whose torques i do not recall.
