Default How to measure existing LRS shield?

I currently have a LRS Ultra recurve on my 2009 Ultra and will probably replace it soon due to scratches and general wear. I've been really successful over the past few years polishing it with 3M swirl cutter and a random orbit but the scratches from my windshield pouch have done a real number on it over time.

My question is, how do I determine the height that I currently have? How do I measure it so I can order the same one? If I measure from the bottom, center as-installed, it's about 7.5" so, is it a 7" or 8"?

Their web site says from the center screw to top of windshield.
