Default where is the best place to live for a biker?

I am retiring and want to live somewhere warmer and cheaper than Michigan. I don't care if it is in a trailer or a shotgun shack. I want to be somewhere where I can ride year round, have biker bars nearby and preferably a beach. Ideas?

The gulf coast of Texas. Cheap, warm and plenty to drink.

When you factor rain and temperature stability, it's going to be SoCal area. Between San Diego and Long Beach. Maybe as far inland as San Bernadino or Riverside to boot.

True, but he said "cheap."
I live in that area you describe, and while there is no better place on the planet, it isn't cheap.
Might be able to find a place out in Temecula for $400k. That's not bad, but the heat during summer makes for $1000 air cond bills in the summertime.
Hemet is cheaper but there's heat there too. Luckily, there's Idyllwild right up Florida Ave so he can be in 80F mountain air in 20 minutes. Hemet can be 100+ very easily in the summer. Today, it was almost 70F and dry. Perfect riding weather. I ride up to Idyllwild often myself anytime except summer.

If you want to live "out in the sticks" there's Sunshine Summit, Oak Grove & Aguanga. These areas are surrounded by WORLD CLASS motorcycling roads with virtually zero traffic all year 'round. Hope this helps.

I'm with you on relocating. I need somewhere warm for back and nerve pain(cold wet weather sucks). A friend left for LA a year ago and a few years ago I taugh a friend to ride and 3 months later he left for Colorado. None of my friends in NY ride either anymore. Need a change of scenery.

A bit more south than here...Conway SC or closer to Charleston SC bit inland like Momcks corner. Or Summerville...just an idea

What about Arizona? Might not have a beach but they do have Lake Havasu. The Bagger/bike scene is pretty prevelant down there too. I spent a weekend down in Tempe and absolutely loved it! Been wanting to move there ever since.....
