It's better than the stock seat but I really don't like it. I already had it and decided to try it. I had a 13 CVO road glide and the stock seat was much better than the 17 seat and the Mustang too. I am not sure about the width. I will check it for you tomorrow...

I have the same CVO SG. I decided to spend my extras money on lower stage 1 boom and the CVO Limited heated hammock seat. I was coming off a 06 Ultra with the 88. So engine upgrades were not needed for me. Enjoy this ride I can't wait to get on it in the morning and take it to get the 1K.
I have a Hammock from my 103 as well, with the adjustable backrest. I modified the seat pan to fit the cvo so it would go over the fender rails, but I'm holding off installing the adjustable backrest because this bike looks so awesome with a solo seat with the details on top of the fender. And my wife never rides with me anyway.
I'm considering the Mustang solo with built in backrest that Elky72 has on this thread. Looks like a good fit.
Cheers!

I may just end up running the stock and swapping out the Hammock for longer rides. Just struggling with whether or not to install the adjustable backrest, as it is so comfy, but nixes being able to install the solo seat. I was hoping the Mustang would be the best of both worlds, so I appreciate the feedback.
On the other hand, the backrest is only four bolts...
Cheers

May I suggest you checking out C&C saddles before go to and make your final decision.
I have both the C&C Solo and SportsTouring with back rest.
NOT too many folks have them, won't see one on every bike, but MOST folks swear by them.
