New 2017 CVO Streetglide. Couple of questions.
#51
Dave/YB, I am sold on the Fullsac CVO power cores and the techmat blanket with perforated sleeves. Quick question, if I want to do a stage II kit later, I already have the elite ventilator breather on my CVO, so will the cores be equivalent of SE Street Cannon exhaust for airflow?
My wife's 17 Road Glide Special has the SE Street Cannons on it. I really would have done CVO mufflers had people been selling take-offs of the 17's at a reasonable price. However with the price they were asking for them, then the cost for power cores, and tech mat and screens the cost was more then the SE street Cannons.
My 13 CVO King is making 140 Torque and 138 HP with a Fullsac DX head pipe, 2.25 power cores, tech mat and screens. So the Power Cores are capable of making lots of power.

Sweet, thanks Dave. I'm going to pull the trigger and order the Fullsac CVO power cores, the techmat blankets and the perforated sleeves. I'll upload a video with sound once I'm done. Next on the list for winter upgrades are 14" apes. Still torn between Paull Yaffe monkey bars and the Factory 47 Assault Bars.

When I first sat on the 15 with the Factory 47's I thought they ordered 12's by mistake. They are not near as tall as Yaffe. Factory 47 are about 2 inches shorter and 2 inches wider than Monkey bars. They are also 1/4 inch thicker diameter.
Money bars run about an 1 to 1.5 taller than the stated height. Factory 47 run about 1 inch shorter than the stated height.
I do like the look of the thicker factory 47 better. As for comfort they are about the same. If I were to order factory 47 again, I would get 16's so they would be the same height as the Yaffe 14's

You would be amazed at the difference a good set of pipes will do. You already have the Ventilator Elite Air Cleaner and you have the best ECM map you can have. Adding good mufflers like the V&H High Outputs should improve torque and performance in the facility of 5% or so. I don't think you need to spend a lot of money to upgrade a CVO 114 M8 to the 117 when the dyno doesn't really show all that much more torque between the 114 and the 117. I think it would be much more noticeable for a 107 M8 to upgrade their pipes, their ventilator and then have a tune done to their ECM.
I have a 2017 CVO SG as well and am waiting for my V&H High Output mufflers to arrive, but I have seen a few videos with them installed and they sound great as well as improve torque and performance. Nice ride, can't wait to see what other upgrades you will be doing. I have Factory 47 Assault Bras (14" Apes) on order and can't wait until they arrive so I can switch them out. All the best.
